Engineering Interpretation
AIRG-9010M is specifically developed for applications requiring the finest particle size distribution within the AIRG aerogel powder family.
With a D90 particle size of ≤10 μm, AIRG-9010M is designed to maximize dispersion potential and formulation uniformity. The ultra-fine particle size may improve particle distribution throughout coating, composite and engineered material systems where fine-scale integration is important.
Compared with larger particle size grades, AIRG-9010M is typically selected when dispersion quality, coating smoothness and formulation consistency are prioritized over maximum aerogel loading capability.
Material Characteristics
All AIRG silica aerogel powder grades are hydrophobic and exhibit similar intrinsic thermal conductivity, porosity and nanoporous aerogel structure.
Performance differences between grades primarily relate to particle size distribution and density characteristics, which may influence dispersion behavior, formulation compatibility, processing characteristics and application suitability.
AIRG-9010M represents the ultra-fine grade within the AIRG aerogel powder portfolio.
Parameter Applicability
The technical parameters listed above represent typical values obtained under controlled laboratory conditions and are provided for reference purposes only.
Actual performance may vary depending on formulation composition, raw material selection, processing methods, dispersion quality and service conditions.
The values presented should not be interpreted as direct guarantees of finished-product performance. Product suitability should be verified through formulation development and application-specific testing.
Handling & Dispersion Recommendations
To help preserve the aerogel nanoporous structure, excessive high-shear mixing is generally not recommended.
Depending on the formulation system, controlled mixing conditions, optimized addition sequences and suitable dispersion methods may contribute to improved formulation consistency.
Formulation performance should be evaluated under actual processing and end-use conditions.
